AFME

AFME is the Spanish trade association that represents manufacturers of electrical infrastructure products and equipment.

Their mission is to defend the leading position of electrical manufacturers in matters like standardisation, legislation and certification, to support the national market and to increase exports through their services.

AFME has established a national initiative to give support to the market surveillance authorities called GASUM. GASUM is the AFME´s response to the Market Surveillance Support Initiative (MSSI) of CECAPI, the European Committee of Electrical Installation Equipment Manufacturers. The objectives of GASUM are to raise awareness of the risks associated with non-compliant products and support the Spanish market surveillance authorities to identify and take action to remove these potentially unsafe products from the market.
